This was one for the over 16s who proved to be less enthusiastic than the children.

A few hardy and enthusiastic soles came along to enjoy this blast from the past.

A further £50 was raised for the roof appeal.

"Greased lightening" proved to be the song that got the most vocal response.

A BIG THANKYOU AGAIN to all those who helped organise this event.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to all those who helped to make this event such a great success.

December 21st 2014

What an excellent night this was for those who attended.

Traditional Christmas tunes and carols a good singalong and even "let it go" from frozen.

Highlights of the night for me were audience participation in "The twelve days of Christmas" and the brilliant renditions of "walking in the air " and "somewhere over the rainbow " played on the saw!!!... amazing!!

December 13th 2014

Over 70 adults and children attended the childrens' Christmas party.

Santa visited and gave presents to each child.

There were various games to play and prizes to be won.

I am chasing Derek for any photos at the moment, there will be a further update soon!

LVG Christmas Coffee Morning

December 6th 2014

What a fabulous morning this was with a great turnout of folk.

The cake stall and tombola sold out!

22 children came to see Santa

There were several comments about the number of new mums with babes in arms that were present,

It was great to see old friends and to make new ones.

A big WELL DONE to all the committee and helpers

Halloween Party

 Saturday 25th October 2014

More than 100 adults and children came along and joined in our evening of spooky fun at the Mechanics Hall.

Most of the children and some of the adults came in their most gruesome disguises and prizes were awarded for the best fancy dressed adult and children.

There were many games played and many prizes won during our party and a great time was had by everyone.

Thank you to all those who helped in the preparation of this fabulous event and all those who risked life and limb by helping on the night.

What a fabulous and fun night this was, after enjoying a lovely 3 course meal in the hall we sat enthralled as we watched the story of murder unfold.

Full credit to the people who volunteered to take on the roles of those who were snowed in at the mountain chateau.

Not even having seen the script before appearing on stage they all made an excellent effort in portraying the various personalities of the people involved in the plot.

If you missed this evening then you missed a treat.

Over £200 was raised for the roofing fund

A massive THANK YOU to all those who were involved in making this evening the great success that it was.

There is a good chance that we shall organise another similar event at some time in the future so keep watch on our website and our notice boards and make sure that you do not miss out on this superb evening!
