LONGWOOD VILLAGE GROUP COFFEE MORNINGS

The Longwood Village Group hold a Coffee Morning at the Longwood Mechanics Hall from 10.00 am till 12 noon on the first Saturday of every month so come along and meet up with your old friends or come along and make some new ones.

The Coffee Mornings often have a theme appropriate to the time of year or some National or International event.  There is always a raffle and a cake stall. The Library is always open, where we sell second hand books for 50p each, there is always a good selection of childrens' books, paperback novels and reference books on a wide variety of subjects we also sell second hand Jigsaws and DVD,s.

The library also contains two computers with access to the internet and printing facilities, these are available for use by members of Longwood Village Group free of charge.

If you have any Paper back books, jigsaws or DVDs that you no longer require we are always grateful for any donations to help us raise funds to support our many community projects.

The local councillors are usually in attendance at these coffee mornings so if you have any issues you would like to bring to their attention you are more than welcome to attend.

The Christmas Coffee Morning on the first Saturday in December is always special, we have carol singing led by the St Marks' junior players and the children can visit Father Christmas in his fantastic Grotto. There are a selection of stalls selling Christmas cards and gifts suitable for all the family.

All the money that is raised at the Coffee Mornings is used to further improve the facilities of the Mechanics Hall or to improve the environment in Longwood and the surrounding areas so as to enhance the quality of life and experience of local residents.
